After finishing the intense and busy work, Jofine organized a happy Xiamen three-day trip for Shindak members. As a beautiful seaside city-Egret Island, Shindak members is longing for it. When in the train to Xiamen, they still could not calm down the excited heart. With small and big bags, small hands and big hands, each Shindak member and their kids travelled like a big family. They happily play cards and shared their snacks with each other. For six hours long train journey, Shindak members finished it in pleasure-seeking.
Once arrived in Xiamen, it seemed that the tiredness was gone with the sea wind. And the mind went into the seaside scenery soon. Along the train station way, members were attractive by the cheap mango with good smell.
The first day trip: Appreciate the Charm of Cultural Buddhism---Jimeixue villiage&South Putuo Temple.
Jimeixue villiage is the general name for all different schools and cultural organization in Jimei. It was established in 1913 by the leader of famous patriotic overseas Chinese people Jiageng Chen and is well known at home and abroad. Nature bestows beautiful landscapes upon Jimeixue Villiiage, and also it is a beautiful landscapes with different kinds of scenery. The architectures of Jimeixue villiage have both the style of occident and the style of Chinese tradition, which have the building style of typical area of Overseas Minnan.
Walking around the bank of Dargon Boat Pool, we could image the lively scene of Dargon Boat Race. Over look the faraway curved roofs, we were amazing with the beauty of the combination of Chinese and Western building style. Patriotic overseas Chinese people established the school, built up hometown and well in education. It could be as the symbol of National Glory.
The South Putuo Temple is one of Minnan’s sacred palace of Buddhism. It was built around the mountain which was with grand scale and strong sense. Although the lotus languished before the temple, it was still thick and swing their bud. From the prodigal modern life to the quite Buddhism life, some Shindak members became a devotional Buddhist, kowtow, pray and enjoy the Buddhism culture. Some people enjoy the beautiful scene of the lotus pond. They feel the quiet Brahma’s voice and the purification of the mind with pigeon, fish and sparrow.
The second day trip: appreciate the art of island---Gulangyu
You could not miss the Gulangyu for searching the pure art culture and old time in Xiamen. Around Gulangyu is all sea. The sea wind blows across the island. The names of “National Building Groups”, “Marine Garden” and “Land of piano” are deserved. For the foodie, they must go to the famous stores--- Zhangsanfeng, Panxiaolian, Ms Zhao, Suxiaotang and etc.
When the Shindak members arrived in the island, it was heavy rain. Well armed Shindak members visited the different Gulangyu in the heavy rain. The unexpected change of the weather could not spoil the fun. The bad weather also could not prevent the memebers to make their own pose. And also it was the challenge for the father and mother who were with their kids. They set their wits to their kids’ anytime or acted as a Superman and good father& bad mother. Shindak members were like a big family. They help and take care with each other. As for the difficulty or tiredness , there was nothing for them. And also the membership of the big family became deeper and closer.
They must catch the good chance of taking photos when the weather turned well. The street was filled with petty bourgeoisie. Walking in the beautiful lane, everyone left their carefree and quiet figures. They enjoy the lazy and free life with a cup of cafe in a small store.
The third day trip: Could not miss the delicious food and beautiful scene---Zengcuoan, Battery and Baicheng Beach.
Zengcuoan is made up of different streets. It is very lively. Along the two sides of the street, we can not count the delicious food. The aroma always attracts the travelers. For Shindak members, they can not control themselves and search the favorite food and enjoy them.
We come into the poem and go to the distance. Everyone hug the sea with nice dream. They walked around the beach, relax themselves and enjoy the sea’s soft and touching. With barefoot, they touch the sand closely. They left their footprints in the beach. It was the heaven of kids and a dream place for members’ flying and running. We like the sea which is grand, far and fresh.
The big Battery stayed in the mountain. There was no luxurious carve. After the weather beaten, it did not lose its power and arrogance. It recorded the history of the brave soldiers who fight with the foreign invaders. And it also represented the hard earned quietness and peace. At last, we took photos, left our footprints and beautiful memory here.
Short journey may be just on the bus, take photos, eat and buy the local food. It is the common travel mode. But we still are happy for appreciating the beautiful scene. We are excited for taking a satisfied photo. During the journey, we may have some work to do. But we fully relax the slap of the waves. Among on the art culture, we smell, eat and play wantonly.
“Happy work, Wonderful life” is always the manner of Shindak members. We returned to Ningbo with wider mind and happier spirit after finishing the happy trip time. The trip is beautiful. And all happened things are filled with our life. Collecting memories, returning to the busy. We will get together and restart.
